Dawn French

I have such a girl crush on Dawn French. Being the clueless American I am I didn't know who she was until my husband and I were watching the episode of The F Word with her in it. She's beautiful and funny. I'm in love.

Now I need to read her book!

You must somehow find a few episodes of "The Vicar of Dibley." Laugh out loud, riotously funny. Even if you don't get all the British references.

Thanks kellycoxsemple, now I'm so asking for the disc set for my birthday. Unfortunately we get very few British shows over here. BBC America seems to have an overly fond obsession with Cash in the Attic.

Ah, I'm a big fan of Dawn French too! I love the Vicar of Dibley. Definitely very British in humor but still plenty to laugh at for us Over-The-Pond-ers.

Try public TV for Vicar of Dibley. I know our local channel carried it for quite a while. Not currently but I think it rotates periodically through their schedule. Give it a look; public TV often carries lots of classic Brit sitcoms esp during "down" times in the year.

Thanks Well-Rounded Mama, I will be checking our PBS as well. I'm generally very appreciative of British humor.

I couldn't wait for it to come back to PBS, so I bought the whole set on Amazon.com. http://tinyurl.com/c4ao9y
